TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Top Bass, held its third tournament of the season on June 26. This event was named

“The Gold Eagle Open” after one of our great sponsors. Gold Eagle produces the Sta-Bil & 303 products that we give away at each tournament. They are quality products that we can all use.

The weather for the tournament was rainy with a fog delay at the start. The temp was in the upper 70’s.

Congratulations to Paul Affholder, from Traverse City, who won this event with 13.81#, which was anchored by Big Bass for the tournament @ 5.93#. Second Place went to Randy Bigford, from Spruce, with 13.62#. Just behind Randy, in Third Place was Tom Shoemaker Jr., from Pinconning with 13.61# (just .01 pounds back of 2^nd). Mike Parsons, from Clare held down Fourth Place with 13.14#. Even with all the fog & rain, we still had 24 limits come to the scales, with “0” dead fish.

SPECIAL JULY CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT – Frank’s Great Outdoors is sponsoring 2 regular one day tournament with an added Challenge Tournament format (Optional). For an added $30 on July 10^th (Missaukee Lake), you will be entered into the 2 lake Challenge Tournament. Total weight from both Challenges (Missaukee July 10 & Houghton July 24), will determine the winners. Payout for this 2 lake Challenge, is 1 in 7, with sponsor adding $$$ to the prize fund. You can still fish the July 10 & July 24 tournaments, without entering the Challenge. These are normal one day tournaments, with the Optional Challenge event added.
