TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Shoe’s Top Bass Tournament Trail, held its 6th tournament of the 2024 season, on Houghton Lake.
The tournament, went out of the DNR ramp, on the west side of the lake.
This tournament was named “The EGO Fishing Open”, after one of our great sponsors. EGO makes quality landing nets, and many other great products, that you can check out online.
The weather for the tournament was nice, as it was a little cool at the start, but warmed up into the 80”s. There were light winds for most of the day.
The fishing was good, as we only had 26 limits come to the scales. We did have 24 bass over 3#, and another 5 that were over 4#, weighed in.
Congratulations to Jeff Crowley, from Goodrich, who ran away with from the rest of the field with a quality limit at 18.66# to take the win. Second Place went to John Franko, from Clare with a limit at 16.66# (exactly 2# behind the leader). Third Place went to Jamie Sochocki, from Bridgeport, with another quality limit at 16.51#. Fourth Place was held down by Mark Reinke, from Gladwin with 16.04#. Paul Affholder, from Traverse City, took Fifth Place with 15.79#. Big Bass for the tournament went to Travis Vida, from Clare with 4.31#.
