SHOE'S TOP BASS

TOURNAMENT TRAIL

The Northwoods Wholesale Outlet  2 Day CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

September 21st & 22nd 2024 on

Saginaw River/Limited Bay

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Shoe’s Top Bass Tournament Trail held its 9th and final tournament of the 2024 season on the Saginaw River/ limited Bay on Sept 21st and Sept 22th 2024. The 2 day tournament launched out of the Independence Bridge launch, by the USS Edison.

The weather for both Saturday and Sunday, was good. The winds were not too high, and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s to low 80’s. There was a few rain drops on Sunday, but they did not last long.

The fishing was rather good, as we had 54 limits come to the scales, 18 limits over the 15 pound mark.

We also hat 7 two day limits come to the scales that were over 30#, (last year, we only had 2 two day limits that went over 30#). With all the fish that got weighed in, we only lost one bass from the total weigh-in. Great job keeping your fish alive and healthy.

A special Thank You to our title sponsor – Northwoods Wholesale Outlet. For any of you who have yet to go into Northwoods, you need stop and check it out. They have all your fishing needs and MORE.

Congratulations to Billy Booth, from Midland, who had a great weekend, by having the largest bags on both days. Billy had 17.24# on day one, and 18.89# on day two for 36.13# total. Along with winning the Championship, Billy also took home 1st place in both days Option Pots. Great going Billy!

Second Place in the Championship, went to Brendan Gyulveszi, from Clare, with 15.88# & 15.91# for 31.79# total. John Franko, from Clare, was just .08# behind in Third Place with 15.27# & 16.44# for a total of 31.71#. Fourth Place, went to Travis Vida, from Clare with 16.24# & 15.22# for 31.46# total. Just behind in Fifth Place was Morris Collins from West Bloomfield with 16.32# & 14.55# for 30.87# total. Big Bass on Day 1, went to Tom Shoemaker, from Pinconning with 4.56#. Day 2 Big Bass, went to Bob Hitchock, from Clare, with 4.46#.

The 2024 ANGLER OF THE YEAR went to John Franko, from Clare. He held off both Keith Gyulveszi from Clare & Andy Maier from Midland to take the honor. The Angler Of Year goes to the angler who weighs in the most total weight for all 9 tournaments. John Franko had 147.44# for those 9 events.

Congratulations John on a job well done, and to the others who gave him a good fight for the award.
