 TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Shoe’sTop Bass Tournament Trail opened up their 28th season with a tournament on the Saginaw River/Limited Bay, out of the Independence Bridge Launch, on Saturday, May 25th.  The event was named, “The Gold Eagle Open”, after one of our very best sponsors. Gold Eagle makes quality 303 Products and Sta-BiL.  Make sure you try their products on your boat and motor.

The weather for the tournament started off a little wet at the start, but after a couple hours of light rain it turned sunny for the most part.  The winds started low, but by weigh-in they were up to 12-16mph.  The temp worked it’s way up to the 70’s.

The fishing was great, as we had 37 limits come to the scales, but not many 4+ pounders.

Congratulations to Jamie Sochocki, from Bridgeport, who’s 5 fish limit turned the scales at 18.67#.  Bill Booth, from Midland was just .45# behind, in second Place with 18.22#.  Third Place went to Jeff Vanier, from Flint, with 17.19#, which was anchored by Big Bass for the tournament at 4.93#.  Jordan Dopp, from Sanford took 4th Place with 15.09#.  Fifth Place went to Mike Parsons, from Clare, with 14.45#.

A special Thank You, to Gold Eagle Fishing, for being the title sponsor of this event.
