Saginaw River May 29th

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Top Bass Tournament Trail, opened up their 25^th season, with a tournament on the Saginaw River, out of the Independence Bridge Launch, on Saturday, May 29^th. The event was named, “The EGO Fishing Open”, after one of our very good sponsors.

The weather for the tournament was some of the worst, that we have ever had. The winds blew at between 14-23 mph, with some high gusts. It made fishing hard, and the temp was about 50+ at weigh-in. With that being said, we still had a good turnout. With all those who fished, we only had 7 anglers to not weigh-in, and several with only 1 or 2 bass. A total of 197 bass came to the scales, with only 2 bass that died. Good job to all who fished, and stayed safe.

Congratulations to Jamie Sochocki, from Bridgeport, who won the event with a 5 fish limit @ 18.42#. Billy Booth, from Midland, was just behind in 2^nd Place, with 18.31#. Third Place went to Jeff Crowley, from Goodrich, with 17.40#. Morris Collins, from West Bloomfield, held 4^th Place with 16.71#. Fifth Place went to Dr.Dave Newcomb, from Hope with 16.09#, with Ryan Mills, from Burton, just behind with 15.94#. John Franko, from Clare took the RecLending Big Bass Award, with one @ 5.69#
